Powertip Technology is pleased to announce that we have been invited to showcase a live Edge AI inference demo at the DEEPX booth during COMPUTEX 2026 in Taipei.
The demonstration features a brain tumor detection application running entirely on the edge — no cloud, no GPU required. Built on Powertip's RK3588 SMARC system board paired with the DEEPX DX-M1 M.2 AI accelerator, the demo delivers real-time AI inference with side-by-side display of original MRI images and NPU inference results.
The setup features a dual-display architecture, with inference results simultaneously shown on an HDMI screen and a networked Panel PC, allowing visitors to view the live demo from multiple vantage points.
This Edge AI solution delivers three core advantages: Low Power — a compact fanless design with significantly lower system power draw compared to traditional GPU-based inference platforms; Energy Efficient — INT8 quantization combined with dedicated NPU acceleration achieves the same inference workload with far less energy consumption; High Privacy — all AI inference runs locally on the device, with no image data leaving the edge, making it especially suited to medical imaging and other applications with strict data privacy requirements.
